Everyone asks when the best time is to have newborn photos taken? Five to 7 days is the perfect time document a new little life. It seems so soon after birth, but during this age babies are more flexible for posing and they have that amazing freshly newborn look that only lasts for a VERY, VERY short time. Older newborns tend to be more restless, baby acne may set in, they sleep less and have lots of hand and leg movement which typically is harder to photograph.
Capturing the innocence and beauty of this fleeting time is so special. Make sure to plan ahead for a newborn session when your new baby is one week of age. The images are truly magical as newborns change so much from week to week.
