15 Months Old!

Gavin had his "One Year" photos taken on Sunday! We had a fun time. His mom and dad worked really hard to get him to sit, stand or lay STILL. So, we got a lot of great action shots that show off his personality! He's full of spunk and has a ton of energy.....busy, busy one-year-old boy constantly on the move! He has the cutest cheeks that you just want to pinch and the biggest sparkly brown eyes. Like his Uncle's vintage cowboy boots and his Grandpa's antique toy top? Click on photo to enlarge.

Baby | 8 Months Old!

Baby Chase came over on Saturday and we did a mini session. He is about the happiest little guy with the biggest blue eyes you've ever seen!

{Newborn Photos | 10 Days Old!}

We did a newborn session with 10-day old baby Max yesterday afternoon. He settled right in after he ate and had a full belly. He is so precious! Also, thanks to my Aunt Joanie for making the pretty white baby cocoon you see in the photo. Max loved being tucked in the cocoon all cozy and warm!

The Art of New Life

Most of my newborn sessions take place in my natural light home studio in Mound.

The perfect age to document a new little life is between 5 to 7 days old. During this age, they are more flexible for posing and they have that amazing freshly newborn look that only lasts for a short time. Older newborns tend to sleep less and baby acne and colic may set in (though I love to photograph and work with babies at any age!).

The length of each session are always a bit different based on your individual newborn. They typically last between 2 to 4 hours, giving plenty of relaxing time for feeding, changing and getting baby comfy for those precious sleepy poses.

Call me (952-472-5433) to pre-book a time frame based on your due date and then we will confirm an exact date once your baby arrives. I also love creating unique birth announcements showcasing your favorite photos from the session.

Capturing the innocence and beauty of this fleeting time is so special.

Chocolate Covered Strawberries

Need a change from the traditional black and white or sepia portraits? I've given these color images a warm reddish-brown "Chocolate Covered Strawberry" tint. It's a fresh new look with a little bit of attitude. Click on photo to enlarge.
