I tested out my new lens yesterday! I love the sharpness. It's a Nikkor AF-S VR 70-200mm 2.8. Thought it might be too big of a zoom for portraits. But on a tri-pod it works great (very heavy). Camera: Nikon D300. Typically use the 50mm 1.4. First two photos: 70mm f2.8, 1/100sec, ISO 400. Third photo: 130mm, f2.8, 1/80 sec, ISO 400. All natural light. Click on image to enlarge.

What lens for what camera?
Hi Regina:
It's a Nikon AF-S VR 70-200mm 1.28. Thought it might be too big of a zoom for portraits. But on a tri-pod it works great (very heavy). Camera: Nikon D300. Typically use the 50mm 1.4. Really want to get the 85mm. First two photos: 70MM f2.8, 1/100sec, ISO 400. Third photo: 130mm, f2.8, 1/80 sec, ISO 400. All natural light.
Typo: AF-S VR 70-200mm 2.8
