Maternity Photos
Last weekend we did a really fun maternity shoot! I love seeing the emotion between couples especially with their very first pregnancy. You guys were great and such good sports! It was so nice meeting you and taking your photos. Can not wait to do your "newborn" photography. Click on the image to enlarge.

Artistic Dance Photography
I attended a very cool event at the Mpls Photo Center Thursday evening. It was an unique opportunity to photograph the Minnesota Dance Theatre dancers....up close and personal. It was an amazing experience and truly great practice behind the camera. These are a few of the 300 or so shots I took. I love the dancer's beautiful artistry, passion and inspiration captured in the images. Be sure to click on the image to enlarge to see the details up close!

New Lens Test
I tested out my new lens yesterday! I love the sharpness. It's a Nikkor AF-S VR 70-200mm 2.8. Thought it might be too big of a zoom for portraits. But on a tri-pod it works great (very heavy). Camera: Nikon D300. Typically use the 50mm 1.4. First two photos: 70mm f2.8, 1/100sec, ISO 400. Third photo: 130mm, f2.8, 1/80 sec, ISO 400. All natural light. Click on image to enlarge.

Portfolio Photography
Yesterday I did a two 1/2 hour all-natural light shoot with a local artist - Christie Larson. It was a great experience! We took so many shots that I'm still going through the files...but here are a few from a series we did. So, check back to see more images! Please check out Christie's beautiful, unique glass and mosaic artwork at www.crazycatsdesign.com. She hand-cuts each piece of glass and her work is truly amazing - see below!
