Fashion Portfolio Portraits

I attended a remarkable lighting workshop with amazingly talented fashion photographer, Tim Davis. His work blows me away. He taught me so many new lighting techniques that I can not wait to try out! We had models come in and in exchange for their time poses, we gave them the images for their portfolios. My very favorite technique (which is going to be great for Senior Photos is shooting directly into the sun with a strobe flash..see the FIRST photo). Here's a sampling of the photos I took.

Family Photos

What a sweet family with two sweet girls! It was a warm late morning at a Lake Minnetonka park. Sweet little Isabel feel fast asleep.

13 Years Old!

Hayley is 13 and has the most beautiful straight teeth and a great attitude! I really love her smile shots, but I think my favorite is the serious look by the large evergreen. These are pictures from an family session with her parents, baby sister, uncles and Grandma and Grandpa....more of those to come! They've been waiting for their previews and I THANK them for their patience as I became very back logged these past 3 weeks. Click on the 1st picture to enlarge to see her amazing blue eyes.

Mother & Son

I'm finishing up a gallery and thought I'd share some "Mother, Son" pictures from baby Maxwell's 6 month photo session. Love the relationship. The last two photos are silhouettes of Denise and Maxwell in the background with the focus purposely on the purple flower....my husband said they look all blurry (very shallow depth of field focusing only on the flower with the people blurred out in the back). The top two photos focus on the people and the flowers and background are blurred.

Kids | 3 Years Old!

My son Lane will be three in one week.....so I thought well I better take some quick three year pics. His new thing is NOT to smile (and will barely look at the camera) for ANY pictures...the little stinker. I guess I'll have to take the serious look - which I actually love!
